National Organization on Disability

The mission of the National Organization on Disability (NOD) is to expand the participation and contribution of people with disabilities in all aspects of life. The Religion and Disability Program of the National Organization on Disability is an interfaith effort urging national faith groups to identify and remove barriers of architecture, communications, and attitudes. The program reaches out to congregations through publications, information referral, and various program initiatives.

CD of the Large Print BOOK OF COMMON PRAYER
The Large-Print Ministry offers two CDs to help the blind and visually-impaired and others with special needs to more fully participate in worship.
The Large Print BOOK OF COMMON PRAYER CD includes the entire 1979 Book of Common Prayer, including the Revised Common Lectionary. The text is in 18-point font, formatted in Microsoft Word. It is laid out for 8.5 x 11-inch pages to easily prepare large print worship materials.
The Large-Print material can be adapted to help those who are learning to read. Adults can help children and other new readers follow along and take part in worship.
The document can be loaded into a note-taker device and formatted into Braille.
PRAYERS & PSALMS FOR TODAY, the second Large-Print CD, can help those who are hurting in body, mind and/or spirit. It includes selections from Prayers and Thanksgivings, Prayers for the Sick, Prayers for Use by a Sick Person, Ministration at the Time of Death, and the Book of Psalms from the 1979 BCP.
The PRAYERS CD is in 20 point APhont, developed by American Printing House for the Blind. The CD is in Microsoft Word, laid out for use on 8.5 x 11-inch pages.
